Feeling overwhelmed? Are you in a difficult situation? Counselling can help.
You’re probably going around in your head, trying to work it out
You know there is a way to resolve your struggle but it seems just out of reach.
Counselling offers a private relationship where you can work through your difficulties. With a trained professional who understands stress, relationship issues, depression and other personal troubles.
So you can get back to feeling good again.
Maybe you think that everyone else is doing fine and you are the only one with problems?
I hear it all the time. Things like “I feel like I’m the only one struggling to make it through the day” or “everyone else seems OK”.
Unfortunately, around 4 out of 10 Aussies experience some depression symptoms and more than 1 in 4 people experience some anxiety. You’re not alone.
Stress and anxiety are common also, with statistics that show 6 out of 10 Australians are negatively affected by stress. Which impacts on your physical and mental health.
People often put on a happy face in public (and social media) but it doesn’t show the whole story.
If you’re struggling with anger, depression, relationship issues or stress there is no shame in getting help and support… many people know the importance of their well-being and get help from a counsellor.
It’s normal in times of change or stress to need some additional support.
Maybe your relationship has broken up…
or you’ve lost or changed your job…
or you feel angry and upset for no reason…
or even just feel flat, unmotivated or depressed.
Counselling helps in these times when you are going through a transition.
Life gives us more than we can handle sometimes and you need some support to deal with it. Counselling allows you to unload and share the burden.
Stuck in negative patterns and emotions?
Maybe you are searching for an answer to why you do certain things.
- How come I eat foods I know aren’t good for me?
- Why do I stay in a relationship that doesn’t nourish me?
- Is there a reason I am worried all the time?
- Is stress or anxiety disturbing your sleep?
It’s frustrating… to be doing things that you know aren’t good for you. But doing them anyway.
Then on top of that, you beat yourself up about it. What a double whammy!
You did something you knew wasn’t good for you and you also felt guilty for it as if that wasn’t enough.
There is a way to get out. But you can’t just change to another diet or a different relationship.
It might feel better for a while but if the patterns of thinking are still there the situation will end up the same.
Counselling is a process of uncovering the beliefs and patterns underneath these self-sabotaging behaviours.
As you understand yourself better you can be more confident in your decisions, happier in your relationships and feel better.
You deserve to be happy and enjoy life
Through my counselling work I have seen people change in many positive ways:
- Improve your mood, attitude and ability to deal with challenging situations and events
- Better relationships and communication with family, partners and friends
- Increased self-esteem, self-regard and acceptance of yourself and others

You can overcome this difficult time and feel good again.
